Future Workforce Meet Your Career Options.
The Bridges Career Exploration Day showcases more than 100 regional high-demand careers with hands-on demonstrations, simulators, and breakout sessions are all a part of the experience. Make plans to participate in the Bridges Career Exploration Day. This third annual event will be held at the Brainerd Civic Center and Gold Medal Arena on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Career Exploration Day helps to enhance the education and career preparation of our area high school students. By participating in the event, you as a business leader can support students and share your expertise.The audience for the event will be 1,800-2,000 area high school students from 18 participating school districts.

We have scheduled a kick-off meeting for Thursday January 7, 2010 for all interested partners, college instructors, and business reps and you are invited to attend to find out more about the event. We will be meeting in room E354 at Central Lakes College starting at 3 p.m.

Objectives:
1. Provide information regarding careers as they pertain to local area industry
2. Identify necessary skill sets and work environment attributed to careers in the area
3. Identify education and training needs necessary to attain careers in the area
4. Identify earning potential and career ladders within careers in the area
