Career Exploration Day
Locally, 80% of our jobs require some additional post-secondary training. Only 20% require a four-year degree. Do you know what education requirements are needed for different types of careers?
The Bridges Career Exploration Day started in 2008 with 57 exhibitors and more than 750 students from six area school districts. Now, this annual event showcases more than 200 regional high-demand careers with hands-on demonstrations, simulators, and breakout sessions. This year’s event will be held Central Lakes College‘s Brainerd campus on Friday, March 10, 2017. More than 2,500 area high school students from 24 participating school districts are expected to attend.
Students interact with different companies to learn about local careers, their work environment,
necessary skill sets, earning potential and the training needed to become employed.
